Cali Date Syrup™ Glazed Chicken with Citrus Herb Couscous

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1/4 cup Cali Date Syrup

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 cup couscous

  • 1 1/4 cups chicken broth

  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon

  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Combine Cali Date Syrup, soy sauce, mustard, olive oil, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Marinate chicken for 30 minutes.

  • Grill or pan-sear chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, basting with marinade.

  • Cook couscous in chicken broth, then fluff with lemon zest, juice, parsley, and olive oil.

  • Plate chicken over couscous and drizzle extra Cali Date Syrup glaze on top.

  • SERVING TIP: Add a side of roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
