Date Syrup Sweetened Flatbread

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 cup Cali Date Syrup

  • 1/2 cup warm water

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

INSTRUCTIONS:

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking soda.

  • Add the Cali Date Syrup, warm water, and olive oil, and mix until a soft dough forms.

  • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes, then cover it and let it rest for 30 minutes.

  • Divide the dough into small balls and roll them out into flat rounds

  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

  • Cook each flatbread for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden and slightly puffed.

  • Serve warm with yogurt or dips.
