Cali Date Syrup™and
Walnut Baklava
INGREDIENTS:

1 package filo dough, thawed
-
2 cups walnuts, chopped
-
1 tsp ground cinnamon
-
1 cup Cali Date Syrup
-
1/2 cup melted butter
-
1/4 cup water
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish with butter.

Mix walnuts and cinnamon in a bowl.
-
Layer filo dough in the dish, brushing each layer with melted butter.
-
Every 5 layers, add a thin layer of walnut mixture. Repeat until done.

Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden.

Simmer Cali Date Syrup, water, and lemon juice for 10 minutes.
-
Pour warm syrup over baked baklava.
-
Cool completely before cutting.
